We Have a Dream

Imagine that those around us stay with us. No more suicide. No more drug abuse. One of the most common things to affect those we love is mental illness. 1 in 4 suffer and that is way too much. We need to wake up and help those around us, before they are no longer around us. Amy helped us create a GoFundMe page to help raise funds to help raise awareness.

We have a domain name in mind and we have the layout to start making magnets for distribution, we are just lacking some funds. The more we can raise, the more we can share, so please, donate what you can. Every little bit adds up and can help so many. Imagine walking through life and seeing the information shared to everyone. Sharing the National Suicide Prevention Hotline 1-800-273-TALK (8255) and the Crisis Text Line (Text START to 741-741) is free to all and can help save a life. These numbers need to be made known to everyone.

We lost Heather to suicide on October 26, 2015. She admitted that she just couldn't talk to anyone in her notes. She might have not been able to talk, but I strongly feel if she knew the texting that was available with 24/7 counselling, she might still be here with us today. In order to make sure that you don't lose your loved ones like us, we are dedicating our time and efforts to share this with as many as possible.

Right now, we just have my free blog, which I will continue to maintain. One day, with the funding that we receive, we can open a real website that is easy to share with friends and family. I want you to imagine 3 of your closest friends and family. If mental illness isn't affecting you, chances are, it is affecting one of them. Which one could you do without in your life? We shouldn't have to choose but we can't rely on others to share this information. We are asking your help in sharing this valuable information.

If you click here, you will go to the GoFundMe Page to add your own donation. It doesn't have to be a lot, whatever you can spare is wonderful. Individually, it is hard to get a lot done, but as a group, we can share the information with that many more. I received a message today from a dear friend of my daughter's. Through the loss of Heather, she knew that she couldn't keep going this alone. She found the help and her life is starting to turn around. Such wonderful news. Imagine how many stories we can change, together. Imagine sharing the help numbers with your friends and knowing that you too can make a difference. Please, make your donation today and watch how much we can accomplish together!
